Utility Room – Isle of Man

Although with limited natural light, this utility room still looks light, bright and spacious. Full use of a mirror splashback over the sink area, together with thick glass shelves, helps greatly in these respects.

Excellent storage is offered on the opposite wall. The centre doors of this run open directly on to the floor, with solid panels replaced with hand woven metal trellising and fine mesh. This is not only striking, visually, but with the under-floor heating running in, acts as excellent storage for outdoor foot-wear and garments, allowing air movement. A hanging rail provides for the latter items, together with 2 x slatted shelves above.

Damp items can be taken off and warm, dry garments put back on.
