Commission 180 – Warwickshire

Designed for an impressive new house on the Warwickshire/Worcestershire border, this beautiful dressing room is a blend of natural oak and hand-painted. The island, complete with see-through top for jewellery storage and curved seating, is in oak to enhance its central positioning within the room.

The main wardrobe run have wide stiles (vertical part of frames) and are mirrored, to echo the nature of the full height main windows.  Set in front of these is a pair of drawer chests shaped as beehives, as the view through the windows is on to the orchard below… thus bringing a feeling of the outside, within.

The tall corner cabinet is fitted with ostrich- skin- lined pull-out shoe trays with leather strap handles, each set on extra deep runners to allow for maximum pairs of shoes.

The handles are a mix of polished nickel ‘snowdrift’, nickel and leather knobs… and beehive style knobs sourced from an ancient brass founders.
