Established in 2011 by Design Director Ben Cleary, Cleary & Hall brings together a highly skilled and carefully selected team of designers, cabinet makers, finishers and installation specialists – all with a shared passion and commitment to creating beautifully crafted interiors for discerning clients.
Today, Cleary & Hall is trusted by homeowners, architects and interior designers. We have built an exceptional team, portfolio and reputation for delivering beautifully crafted bespoke interiors – where expectations are high and details matter.
Having delivered talks for Period Living, had work featured on front covers and within leading national design and interiors magazines, designed kitchens for Michelin starred chefs, as well as a recent Master Chef winner – we are equally at ease designing a kitchen as we are a dressing room, study or any other area.
A Design-Led Approach to Bespoke Interiors
With a passion for cooking, coupled with a background in architectural model making, the team is led by Ben Cleary. Prior to establishing the Cleary & Hall business, Ben spent nearly 15 years designing Luxury British Brands.
Ben’s experience ensures every project is approached from a design-first perspective, where aesthetics, functionality and flow are considered in equal measure from the outset. During his time at Smallbone, Ben not only designed exceptional interiors, but also trained new designers and designed showrooms – experience that continues to shape Cleary & Hall’s thoughtful, highly considered approach today.
Ethos and Approach
Cleary & Hall has never been driven by showrooms or sales-led processes. Put simply, high-street showrooms are a considerable drain on resources. Instead, our focus and investment have always remained on what matters most: thoughtful design, meticulous craftsmanship, quality materials and a highly personal service.
Rather than putting spend into showrooms, we have directly invested resources into our workshops – 10,000 square feet of space equipped with a vast array of both traditional and advanced machinery that provide specialist finishing capabilities along with the flexibility to deliver truly bespoke interiors without limitations on design, material or detail.
Having designers, cabinet makers and finishers working closely together on one site has the distinct advantage of enabling every stage of a project to be carefully monitored and refined as it progresses – ensuring details are resolved quickly and exceptionally high standards are maintained throughout.

Ethics and Sustainability
Sustainability and ethical sourcing are an important part of the way Cleary & Hall operates.
All timbers are FSC certified and materials are carefully sourced from trusted suppliers who share the company’s standards around quality, responsibility and ethical working practices. Investment has also been made in specialist equipment that compacts timber offcuts and sawdust into briquettes, providing a more sustainable and carbon-conscious heating source for the workshop.
